DOGGIE

sleepy dog =.=

Does anyone know what kind of dog this is? Mimi's so cute but naughty, very, very naughty. I'm looking after her for my brother's girlfriend. I don't know what I will do when they take her back...

It was kind of random, but while I was walking her today, some psychotic little girl on her bike was stalking us. "Puppy, puppy~," I heard, but as I turned back, veered off to the side, and repeat... gah, neighbors....

AUGUST 14, 2008
THURSDAY
was probably one of the funnest nights of my life.

At Mohegan Sun (which is a shitty place for anyone under 21), many teenage girls crowded to what would become a concert of huge amusement. Backstreet's Back, ALL RIGHT!!!

MusicPlaylistRingtones

=D The samples above are "Larger than Life" (I think) and "I Want it That Way."

Don't believe what others say, though Kevin will be missed, the Backstreet Boys are still kicking and sounding great. From one fan who witnessed this concert, "Geez, they should have got rid of Kevin a long time ago; they sound great." And at the concert, there were so many flash cameras and phones going... it was cool.

Opening was the not-so-great GIRLICIOUS, though there was a lot of energy by "Like Me" and the sassy girls asking the crowd to give it up for the boys, er... hm... men!

After a 20 min intermission, the guys came out, all four of them, scantily-clad in boxing outfits. I don't care what people say, these men in their mid-30s or late 20s are still piping hot. This is evident from the $10 poster my cousin bought from the concert.
=D

=D
Starting out was "Larger than Life" which partially segued into "Stronger" (original rap by Kanye West). I loved the fact that they sang many of their older songs, "Everyone," "All I Have to Give," "I Want it that Way," "Backstreet's Back," "The Call," "Show me the Meaning of Being Lonely," and others.

They also sang "Inconsolable" and "Incomplete." There were newer, great songs but on a deeper inspection, do these guys have much hope for the future...?
Brian sure does. The boys all hit with their own solos but Brian was definitely enjoyable with his sincerity and his cute humor.

=(

Honestly... my mom was right, it was so fucking loud that it wasn't too enjoyable but the seats and bleachers were literally moving from all the excitement. From the 9 year olds girls screaming behind us, the nonchalant punks with glowsticks who slowly started feeling the music, the drunk 40 year old women listing off the proof of their fanaticism, the older Indian man standing and blocking my mom's view, the lone Asian guy standing with arms crossed, and the gay man taking off his shirt and grinding on his neighbor, it was apparant that the Backstreet boys has never lost their charm. The time they shine and where they are in their prime is on the stage. *heart*

But the best part was my ticket was free free free!!! All paid from my dad the gambling mongol... T-T

Six Flags

Yesterday, I went to Six Flags: Great Adventure in New Jersey. =) This picture is of the water park nearby that we didn't go to. =( It was fun anyway though. =)

When you go to Six Flags, dress lightly with sneakers and remember to drink a lot of water. A regular pass is around 54 bucks, but there are coupons for a 15 dollar discount and/or a buy 1 get one free on weekdays. I would suggest getting a flashpass cause otherwise, you'll spend money and time to go on only 3 rides... though I like being cheap so I never do. XD

Always expect long lines even at the bathrooms and such so bring a drink when you're waiting on line. And bags, it might be better just not to bring them, you'll have to go through security and buy lockers constantly. Parking is also... a bitch.

This is a picture from my phone =3! We were waiting on the Superman ride. It said the wait was about an hour and a half but it was more like two hours cause they kept doing blank tests on the second cart. Overall, the ride was worth the wait, being my first time on it (though I would not consider waiting for it again). It was not very fast but the position of being attached from your back and your stomach facing the ground with interesting turns and stuff made the ride enjoyable. (even for a girl who has motion sickness and a fear of heights!) My hair was in my face in the pic. =P

Though I did not go on it this time, El Toro is one of my favorite roller coasters because it's fast and crickety. I love that momentum of slowly going up and just going everywhere at a high pace. When I went on it last year, we were there in the morning and there was no line and we went on again with a 30 minute wait. It's definitely worth the wait.

I went on the
Great American Scream Machine both last year and this year and the wait is always pretty quick considering they have three carts: blue, white, and red. Last year, I didn't like it so much, but this year, the random guy sitting in the cart with us was hilarious. He was asking everyone if they were "screamers," and proceeded to scream and say stuff like, "Oh yea, MAKE ME SCREAM; this is the scream machine", "Holy shit!", "I'm gonna piss in my pants", and "Y'all need to go take a piss after this ride." I was laughing so hard. The ride, overall, is pretty good, it's not fast but it can hurt considering your ears are banging into the protective seat.

I would not recommend the new Dark Night Coaster. It was 2 hours for a video as a prologue to the ride and a ride that was like a kids' coaster inside a dark room. It was horrible because it wasn't fast and it didn't have a lot of drops and highs, just a lot of turns. Honestly, the video was more exciting the the ride. There was a wait before getting the ticket, a wait to get inside the building, and a wait inside the building to get onto the ride. Though, waiting inside was ok because they have a screen watching you and putting a joker mask on your face. Though it was only built recently, replacing Chiller: Batman and Robin, I can't recommend this ride at all.

However, Batman the ride was amazing. It was extremely fast and your legs just dangle in the air. Even though the wait said 60 min, it only took us 20 min. It was worth the time and effort because fast rides=love.

Next time, I'm determined to go on Kingda Ka.... It's a slow wait and it was broken this time, but I'm sure that I'll be able to go on it eventually. REMEMBER: If you're in a group, never offer someone to cut the line because people cut the line, then invite their friends to cut the line and it just makes the wait longer. And people always want to cut you even if it's obvious you're just taking off your shoes or putting your bag away (some rides offer cubbies to put away your bag, most don't). And apparently, you can bribe the ticketers to let you go through the flashpass line... kind of annoying but how much do these ticketers actually make at this park? I wonder.

I can't say I recommend these for people who don't like roller coasters but I pretty much only like riding on roller coasters. There are also concession stands, kiosks and such. There is a real dog tag stand outside of the American Army Experience (which is a virtual representation that my gaming brother said wasn't too amazing but all right).

Small rides are typical. Teacups are overrated, but going on the merry-go-round and riding a cock with a friend is always fun. =] Whatever you think, ferris wheels suck. I hate them!!! I can stand rollercoasters fine but I felt like fainting on the ferris wheel. D=

My air brushed tattoo bunny~ Everything in the park is expensive but airbrushed (which last 3-6 days) is cheaper than henna. I got henna last time. Henna tattoos are these organic substances that are put on the skin and soaked in until they crack which usually takes 5-10 min and they last 2-4 weeks. Apparently black hennas have added chemicals that can harm you so be careful where you get it. My cousin got a cute henna but she got tired of waiting and scraped it off so it's pretty light. (Remember to wait until it cracks!!!)

There are also stores for license plates, names on rice, names on wood, bracelets, etc. It's cool but you could also get them elsewhere for less.

There are broadwalks and arcades. The games are cute and easy to win so it doesn't hurt to try.

The food is the usual stuff like Nathans (hotdogs are amazing) and Johnny Rockets (old fashioned feel-good diner with great burgers). I had a pizza cheesesteak from Ted's Cheesesteak which I would not reccomend... it was messy and a regular cheesesteak or a chicken alternative would have been better.

And my sugarfix!!!! There are many places that sell candy, popcorn, and lemonade as you expect.

GLOW IN THE DARK PARADE!!!!

There were many similarities of this parade to the daytime parade I saw last year... jumping stilts, breakers, and various justice league/looney tunes characters. Last year though, the breakers and stilts were regulars around the park but I didn't see them this time, just bugs and daffy. This year, it was glowing with some fake people and Joker, Two-faced, Batmobile and Batman.

Dragon, I guess they are celebrating Olympics indirectly?

Scooby, HIIIIIIII!

Dinner at 11 PM. Burger Kings off the New Jersey highway are overpriced!!!!!! Geez, never let a man try to organize next time.

THAT'S ALL FOLKS! =D

Anthropologie

I guess I should start off by saying that I am the last person that people should look up to as a fashion expert. I don't even like shopping! Though I've decided to take a chance and at least appreciate what is out there. >.< The colors that store primarily uses fit an older, more mellow but still fun audience than the audience an Urban Outfitters store caters to. There are many different styles that are used and with the fall season coming up, Anthropologie seems to be really in its element.

For me, some of the items that I think are really catchy are these (though whether they can fit for big chested girls as myself are another issue ;p ):

Poppy Fields Dress

It's red and short, and seems to be flattering for many shapes and sizes.

Museum-Of-Modern-Birds Dress
It's a fun, artistic dress that is comfortable and edgy.

Echo
Flutter Tee

A stylish printed shirt that gives a new feeling to an old style.

Stoa Sweater Skirt

A skirt that I have never seen before, very fresh. It's pretty and flirty but just from an eyeballing, I can't tell if it can flatter short or tall legs.

Just a note, a lot of the pants are the same style but it's a style that I like :D. Like

Level 99 Ariana

the style of the pants are long, straight, and sleek, and even though I have short legs, I love this style (it's a curse! =P).

So onto accessories, I love big rings and any kind of headband, so... these are self-explanatory.

Windowpane Headband

Baubled Begonia Ring

Just a bag with a good message =D

Green Is Good Tote

However, this store is not the best place to be stingy and there are no stores outside the US as of now. As cheaper alternatives, I suggest Forever 21 and Old Navy. These stores are everywhere and even have online stores, so if you have never heard of them before check them out know. Forever 21 is my personal favorite. ;)

In conclusion, if you like to splurge on a casual-but-not-really look that suits 18-30 year olds very well, then Anthropologie is the place for you. Its online store ships to many places beyond the state, so check it out =D.
